TETFund Intervention will Boost Private Universities’ Capacity – Prince Ajibola

The Management of Crescent University Abeokuta has renewed the call on the Federal Government to extend the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, Intervention capital projects to private tertiary institutions who are equally training the needed man-power for the nation’s economy.

Proprietor of the university, Prince Mahruf Ajibola made the call in Abeokuta while reeling out the activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the institution.

Prince Ajibola explained that the direct intervention on Crescent University campus by TETFUND would go a long way to expand the existing facilities to provide more young Nigerians with opportunities for university education.

The Proprietor described the establishment of Crescent University in 2005 by his late father, Prince Bola Ajibola who served as Nigeria’s Attorney General and one of the jurists at the International Court of Justice in Hague, Neither land, as a greatest legacy for humanity committed to producing high quality graduates for the nation.

Prince Ajibola who acknowledged the numerous supports from governors of Sokoto, Kano, Lagos, Zamfara who sponsored many students on scholarship to the university, also noted academic feats of products of Mass Communication Department of the university.

He said the anniversary would feature Lecture, Awards to distinguish Nigerians for their contributions to the growth of the institution as well as awards to the outstanding alumni.

Also, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Ibrahim Gbajabiamila announced the plans of the institution to commence academic programmes in the medical school while Cyber Security and Software Engineering would commence at the College Information and Communication Technology.
