Ogun Head of Service highlights People Management as Key to Organisational Success

By Oluwatoyin Adegoke

The Ogun State Head of Service, HOS, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, has described people management as a critical driver of organisational success in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.

Mr. Onasanya stated this in Abuja while leading the Ogun State delegation at the 57th International Conference and Exhibition of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, CIPM, Africa’s largest human resources event with the theme, “Reimagining the New World of Work,”.

Mr Onasanya pointed out that the conference theme was in alignment with the various reforms under the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration especially in repositioning the Civil Service through institutional reforms and capacity training, resulting in a positive shift towards a citizen-centred government.

The Ogun State head of service expressed optimism that academy would deepen professionalism, enhance the employee ecosystem, and foster innovative strategies essential for building a workforce that could thrive in constant change.

Mr Onasanya noted that recent CIPM Award of Excellence given to Ogun State served as proof of the administration’s transformational ideas, which he said had created a paradigm shift from business as usual to business unusual in governance.

He maintained that Ogun State was actively reimagining the new world of work and establishing itself as a leading investment hub in the country.
