Former International Handball Player Commends President Bola Tinubu over National Sports Commission

One time African Handball player of the year, Mr Adeyemi George Osawe has commended President Bola Tinubu for scrapping the Ministry of sports and reestablished the National Sports Commission, NSC.

Mr Osawe who stated this in an interview with Journalists expressed optimism that the commission would engender grassroots sports development and improve the nation’s performance at international circles.

The former international handball player described the appointment of Shehu Dikko as the Chairman and Mr Bukola Olopade as the Director General of the commission as a step towards the redevelopment of sports in the country.

Mr Osawe who noted that sports development required active and spontaneous actions to achieve result oriented goals, maintained that the duo’s pedigree in the industry would bring the much desired goals and assist in repositioning the sector.

He appealed to the Chairman and DG of the National Sports Commission to work with the chairmen of various sports Association and Federation especially handball to enable the game regained its rightful position as known in the 80s and 90s.
