The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, has appointed Mrs Oluremi Olugbenro of the News department as the New General Manager of Paramount FM Abeokuta, with a call on her to justify the confidence reposed on her.
Presenting the letter of appointment to Mrs Olugbenro, the Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal station, Mr Dominic Mokikan advised the newly appointed general manager to bring her wealth of experience in broadcasting to bear, having worked with the Corporation for more than two decades.
The Zonal Director, who stressed the importance of effective leadership, urged the New General Manager to play the necessary role in the upliftment of the station, by motivating the members of staff through growth and innovation.
Mr Mokikan encouraged the staff of Paramount FM Abeokuta, to give the necessary support to the new General Manager and ensure mutual understanding among themselves with a view to taking the station to a greater height.
In a remark, the former overseer of the station , Mr Dapo Oyekanmi congratulated the new General Manager, pledging support for her and expressed gratitude to the entire staff for their cooperation during his tenure.
In her acceptance speech, the new General Manager of Paramount FM, Mrs. Olugbenro, who gave thanks to God Almighty for the journey so far, appreciated the management of FRCN for finding her worthy of the new position and promising to justify the confidence reposed on her by striving to make the station enviable to others.
Mrs Olugbenro pledged to improve on the existing relationships with relevant stakeholders, and focus more on creating content that would inform, educate and entertain the station’s teeming listeners.
She solicited the cooperation of the members of staff in the task of ensuring that the station would take its pride of place among radio stations in the Southwest region of the Country.
Speaking on behalf of the entire staff, the Head Of Unit, Administration and supply, Mr Olaniyi Sowunmi reiterated members of staff’s commitment to supporting the new General Manager in taking the station to an enviable height.
The event also witnessed the presentation of letter to Mrs Tolulope Onafowokan of Programmes Department as the new General Manager of Amuludun FM, Moniya, Ibadan
