In a renewed effort to combat the manace of infectious and other prevalent diseases in Oyo-State, media practitioners in the state that are actively involved in health campaigns have come together to form a united front in other to deepen awareness and promote social and behavioral change towards having a healthier populace.
These health communicators birthed a new organization – “Media Coalition for SBC (Social & Behavioral Change) Health Communications” and Jameelah Elegbede was elected as the maiden coordinator of the group along with other executives during the virtual inaugural meeting which took place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
The group is expected to midwife a renewed onslaught on malaria, tuberculosis and lassa fever among other tropical diseases in Oyo-State.
